About this deal

Our unit uses Romer-G Tactile switches, which have a small tactile bump right before the actuation point. Battlefield for instance does control the RGB lighting when taking damage but again, this is not 100% guaranteed. If you don't need that wrist rest and fancy a little more light in your life, we'd recommend checking out the HyperX Alloy Elite 2 instead. RGB LIGHTSYNC Backlit Keys: A wired gaming keyboard that is fully customizable; choose from a full spectrum of colour and light each key to create your personalised gaming system. Personally, I never use these faceted key caps because I don’t use my keyboard solely for gaming but also for typing these reviews etc… but it is a nice addition for those hardcore gamers out there.

The SynchroCycles effect animates Tron light cycles from opposite sides of the keyboard until they collide. There are some slight differences in the pre-travel distance and operating force, but it's fairly minor and shouldn't be noticeable to most people. Not only that, but under the hood you'll find Logitech's durable GX switches, which manage to evade that scratchy feel sometimes felt in Cherry models that are plugged into the vast majority of decks. If it is outside of the warranty period, we may offer a chance to repair the item at a cost to be quoted. The rigidity of 5052 alloy also provides a sturdy, non-slip chassis that houses a full suite of features for an unbeatable gaming experience.

Since it's designed for gaming, the G513 has some programmable keys, customization software, RGB backlighting, and a USB passthrough. At first I was a bit concerned that the palmrest was not attached to the keyboard by latches or with a magnetic strip but now I totally understand why. However, the K845 has a longer pre-travel distance, which should help prevent typos, and it's fully compatible with Linux. Assuming you're a mere mortal, the switches on this keyboard are bound to last well beyond the point that you're tired of using it. Also F10 switch was a spacebar switch that got broken during a very intense jumping puzzle in a game. While my custom colored keys were working on desktop and I liked it, I just hated the fact the keyboard was always changing for no reason at all. The Romer-G switches have a higher lifespan over traditional mechanical switches and they sport a great build quality.

We've added new tests for Single Key Latency, Multi Key Latency, Data Transmission, and Chord Split. This may be because blue LEDs require more voltage than red or green, and this is a known problem that isn't unique to this particular keyboard or the Romer-G switches it uses. Its frame is made of both aluminum and plastic that feels sturdy and doesn't show any signs of flex. The G513's wrist rest is detachable, and its build quality is much better due to the sturdy aluminum faceplate. Use the FN toggle feature in Logitech G HUB and configure your function keys to perform these alt commands by default.

It’s also weirdly quiet for a mechanical keyboard without compromising on key quality, which is particularly impressive. That's because of the heavier actuation under the fingertip, combined with the slightly wider key spacing of this particular design.

In fact, a few of my effects (so far) are equal to what the Logitech software offers, and I can set the computer to randomize them to surprise me each time I turn the computer on.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). During pandemic and studying from home, it was quite good and nothing rally bothered me during tying and a lighter actuation was not something negative for me.
