Our unit uses Romer-G Tactile switches, which have a small tactile bump right before the actuation point. Battlefield for instance does control the RGB lighting when taking damage but again, this is not 100% guaranteed. If you don't need that wrist rest and fancy a little more light in your life, we'd recommend checking out the HyperX Alloy Elite 2 instead.
